Karaoke world record set
KINGMAN, Ariz. – A group of karaoke singers not only broke a world record, but they made it a lot harder for it to be repeated.
According to Matthew Middleton, over 50 people participated in the karaoke marathon designed to break the record for most consecutive hours singing.
Middleton said the marathon took place over the holiday weekend at the Nick’s on 66 restaurant in Kingman.
“We broke the record on Monday morning at 1:00 a.m. and we set the record at 100 hours at 9:00 p.m.,†stated Middleton.
The previous record was 80 hours and a pub in England set that mark, said Middleton.
Now Middleton said he has to submit everything to the Guinness Book of World Records and they will get back to him within the next four to six weeks.
