That looks like a great time.  We used to do something similar when I was a kid in Oregon.  It was a raft race and the rafts had to be home made, so basically, it was a tube float. There were some small rapids which make it a little exciting. Ice chests strapped in the middle - - - good times and memories for sure.

oh I bet that was fun. I'm going to get friends together next year and do the Parker tube float. Looks like a ton of fun.

Floating down the river
PARKER, Ariz. – Floating down the river was fun for the participants and profitable for the Parker Chamber of Commerce. According to the Parker visitor’s services spokesperson Debbie Bazilius, the Great Western tube float was very successful. Bazilius said that approximately 750 paid floaters participated in the event. Bazilius stated that there were at least 900 to 1000 people on the water Saturday, proving again that this event is the biggest and most successful fundraiser of the year for the Parker Chamber of Commerce.
