If its been painted/decaled on the boat yes :alien as far as just calling it a name not a problem. I think there is some sort of traditonal way to change a name on a boat :stupid Some sort of cerimonial deal :rolleyes

I Un - named by old boat before I sold it.  A simple matter of pulling off some vinyl letters...

You can keep the name on the boat but move it somwhere inconspicuous and put your extra name on the back....

I un-named my first/last boat right after I got it and it all but killed me!  :eek

So Im a little supersticous...  I think I will live with it.  But that is a good idea to move the name somewhere else and add another one...

But I think I am on probation with the boat gods  :bowdown , so best not to piss them off!  :fouet

I think while one is reciting an invocation to the Great Diety Neptune, he or she should be joined by several toga wearing guests for the celebration.

Toga. . . Toga. . . Toga

I came across a great deal on a 210 Hallett that belonged to Tom Barron from Barron Boats. The name was Skiscape 5 and I renamed it to Last Call, and the 1st time out I fell into the boat and detached my retina. I'll will be off work for 10 weeks. The next time at Havasu I'm doing the denaming ceremony with a big ass bottle of champange.
