Truck Hauling Hay Causes Freeway Fire

Driver's Attempt To Extinguish Fire Causes It To Spread

ZANESVILLE, Ohio -- A truck hauling hay caught on fire on Interstate 70 east of Columbus in eastern Licking County onSunday.

The driver tried to put out the fire by using the wind and swerving going down the freeway, authorities said. However, that caused a six-mile stretch of freeway to catch fire at about 2:40 p.m. when the hay dropped off the truck.

I-70 was closed for more than two hours while fire crews put out the grass fires started from the hay. The truck stopped just outside of Zanesville where the truck fire was finally put out.

Ever pull up beside a hay hauler and look at what's driving them :rolleyes some scary shit!.. :eek I don't think I'd classify them as "truck drivers"!. :beat
