So I'm around 30 miles west of Needles last Friday when one of my trailer tires blows out. I know I should have had a spare, but I didn't. Â Sleek's recent story and CE's signature made me think about it, but not enough to actually do it. Â Anyway, I take off the wheel, strap the axle up to the frame and proceed at a reduced pace. Â After around 5 miles, HBjet just happens to pass me, but he didn't notice I was missing a wheel. Â I call him (thank God for technology) and he agrees to let me use his spare. Â So now I am traveling at full speed again and figured it would just take a few minutes to replace the bad tire in Needles. Â So right when they are wheeling my tire into the shop, lightning strikes and the power goes out. Not knowing how long it would take for the power to come back on, I hung out for around an hour. Â After that, I said shine it and continued on to Havi. Â I replaced the tire the next morning AND bought a spare wheel and tire. Â I went to the CBBB and gave Randy's spare back to him. Â I found out then, that the power was still off in Needles for hours after I left.
It all worked out though.
Thanks again HBjet!

Some tire shop must have been tossing out nails or something...I got a flat about 20 east of Needles Thursday night....yes I carry a spare. Good to have friends that can help out.

We carry 3 spares. No joke. 2 for us and one for another poor soul, whomever he/she may be.
