Looking for a little help or direction :beat

So the heat pump/a-c (new, installed about 2 years ago) is working poorly, all the equipment is working and not froze up. I know car a/c systems and it seems to be low on freon. Houses use R22 I believe.

Do the R12 gauges for cars also work on home a/c's , and is R22 available to the public or do you need a license like for R12? (I'm in AZ)

What sort of pressures(high side/low side) should you see if the temp out side is around 100* with about 60% humidity?

And of course the final question. Should I keep my paws off of it and call a tech?

why call a tech when you can hook up the gauges and really screw up the works.

Now, when you call the tech, he will have a legit reason to charge enough to make his Ferrarri payment :banghead

Well Joe from D&J just got off the roof the focking thing is empty of freon  :angry Says he found the leak, says he's seen the same leak on the same model about 3-4 times this year. Looks like Carrier's quaility is slipping :break

The heat does bring out the bugs and the Monsoons don't help. I'm fighting them off pretty good :guns  :guns But my neighbors seem to think having a yard full of ants and spiders is ok :angry So I give their yards a little treatment also :flamed

As far as your 40 ft offshore boat goes, you don't use the toys you have.  ;)
