Hello everyone!!
New guy here again
I just got back into boating recently, and my newly acquired boat came with a cover that is just starting to fall apart. Â Â (figures right)
I have been doing some research and have found a few companies online that offer custom fit covers.
Has anybody had any luck with any of these companies?
I am leery to buy as they are non-refundable, and I am paranoid by nature!!
Everybody locally (PHX) is wanting about $1000.00 for a custom built cover and I can't swing that kind of cabbage right now
Does anyone have any good suggestions ??

Thanks "Carrera Elite"
I have looked at Coverquest and they seem to have the best prices.
They don't list my boat (2000 Commander Signature 26) although they do list  95'-96' 2600 Signature .
The hull has not changed over the years, but Sy at Commander says the last few covers they have received from "Westland" (the manufacturer of the covers for Coverquest) did not fit properly. He said they moved their manufatcuring to Mexico and the quality has gone south also.
This has made me sketchy now.
Also the sales person at Coverquest says they will only take MY word on the hull being the same, and if I'm wrong, I'm stuck with the cover Â
Oh! what to do??? Â Â

I noticed your question about boat covers under another topic by "tp marine" I appreciate the extra effort.
I shot Don a PM but have not gotten a response.

Hey BD
Did you bring them the boat, or did you order the cover by part # Â ?
I am to understand they no longer manufacture locally???

I ordered my Westland cover through Iboats.com and paid $350.... all is good except the reinforcement padding is in the wrong spot near the windshield and the bolsters, I didnt want to go through the hassle of sending it back so i just chopped it up as a lesson...... I would much rather get a custom job next time around

The Sunbrella material is the best to get, I bought the Sharkskin material, and although it is a great water resistant material, it doesnt allow your boat to breathe, so you may want to vent it somehow if you choose that material ...... one other thing, if you choose to get a black cover, wake sure you put something in between your interior and the cover cause the dye will stain your interior! it took 4 hrs and half a bottle of simple green to get it all out!

O.k.... Â I wussed out and ordered one from Commander. After speaking with Don (Tp Marine) and weighing my options, I took the safety . I appreciate your advise Don and I also appreciate everyones input. I guess I will have to save up for a custom built cover $$$$$$ in a couple of years.

When I bought the boat the dealer sent it over to them. They had it about 2 weeks to do the cover and extended the bimini.
