;)

87 325I 6 cyl 5 spd convertible to be more specific. Shauns looking at one that needs some TLC but it seems to be in ok shape. Comes with a new German made top not installed yet, trans is a little stiff between 3rd and 4th. And the ac belt is off for what ever reason. Can pick it up for $1700.

If its a true 85 then someone else whacked the roof off...BMW started building conv. with the 87 model year.

Low Blue Book is $2400 if it has 98K miles........
Might be worth a gander if its in decent shape and doesn't need too much TLC....
FYI-High book is $4500
The biggest problem with those were the timing belts...if it hasn't been replaced and it goes it takes the valves and sometimes pistons with it.....if unsure do yourself the favor and replace it...then every 50K.

I was reading about the T belts. That would be the first thing to change it looks like. The body is a little rough and the hood paint is flaking. If low book is around 2400 it may not be such a good deal :stupid . Parts seem cheap enough though :good

So offer less...........
Trany problem might be the brackets and dampner blocks they use on the shifter assembly, worn or broken.....a lighter weight oil might help it too...we'd put ATF in plenty of them.
.
Let me know if I can help.

Hows the back seat material? They typically would dry out and shrink to the point where the stitching ripped...at the top edge of the backrest.

Fix that little baby up, pimp it out with some bling wheels then sit in it and drive with just your head visible above the door panel.. :laugh

Parts are pretty $$$$ and not always available. Nice cars but the few I have had don't handle the desert heat very well. both I had I put extra electric radiator fans on them to keep them below boil over with the A/C on during summer. Just my useless .02 :stupid
