Me and my lady are heading to Havasu this Columbus Day weekend. Last year when we went to Havi on Columbus Day, they had the Dos Equis Jet Ski world finals. It was pretty awesome, we could float outside the course in the boat and watch all the action.  They also had lots of little side events like freestyle motocross jumping, parties , etc.  Looks like they moved it back a week this year.  Does anybody know of anything going on for Columbus Day at Havi this year??  Any of you HDF peeps gonna be out there?
Also, Its been a year since I had my boat on Havi, any new restrictions or rules I need to be aware of??  Thanx

There is a 300 mile Enduro race for boats in Parker down at the Bluewater Casino on the 8th :good

How much of the river are they going to have closed off for the race?  We are thinking about heading that way this weekend, but want to be able to put the boat in the water some also.

Looks like I will have Havasu all to myself.  Is Kokomos still going strong, are there any new places to go in Havasu for night life?  Is Topock still accessible? Needles?  Anything else?   :stupid

Hope your trip was better than mine.  
Friday, couldn't get out of town till 3:00pm, didn't arrive at hotel until 8:00pm, unpacked, ate dinner - so much for Friday.
Saturday, (windy as hell) girlfriend sick, didn't get on the water until 4:00pm, headed for the Sandbar, ran aground halfway up, turned back and just kicked it in the channel. tried to take a couple shots of what few boats and babes were around- camera broke.
Sunday, (windy as hell) headed to Copper Canyon - only one boat there. Decided to head south, hit another unmarked sandbar, tore up another prop. Limped back to the Naked Turtle for a drink. Left the Turtle at about 9:00 pm, boat died in middle of lake.  Had to row ashore and tie boat to shore and catch ride back to hotel.
Monday(still windy as hell) found somebody to tow my boat, but couldn't do it until wind died down around 3:00.  Got boat on trailer and went to McKees to drink away my humiliation.
Tuesday (last day - finally calm) packed up, transferred all that unused gas in my boat into the truck and headed back to Tucson.  Can't wait till next year :laugh
