Can I reset the service light or is it verboten Â
Any easy fix for an ABS light on?
Needs struts real bad, anything to watch out there or pretty much just slap new cartridges in? |
I'm just talking out my ass here... if the resevoir is full, ABS problems have always been solved by replacing speed sensors on my Yankee vehicles...

Resetting the service indicator light is just fine, but you need the tool to do so...I think Snap-On might have something for that. If they won't reset then most often a PC board in the dash has failed, or the built in battery in that PCB is bad. Black tape on the dash has solved that problem for some folks. Struts are your garden variety strut inserts...if they're still the OEM inserts caveat to you that the oil and guts are in the tube so be careful taking them apart....ie, they're inserts but not a catridge. ABS could be a sensor, or the pump? Make sure all tires are the same size in profile...one odd size will set the light off. But as far as common problems its got too many components to pinpoint exactly. I'd start with checking the connections for any corrosion and cleaning the sensors. Hope that helps some. . trivia---this was my 9-11 th post....Never Forget!
