We can definitely do it during thw weekend, it doesn't get too terribly crowded down my way. Just an FYI, it's not really a Lake, well there is a Lake but the playing is done on the River, the depth varies, Jet Boats are perfect but you can take an I/O there and not have a problem, just need to follow someone that has a little experience down there (that'd be me ). This stretch of River reminds me of the River of the old days, very laid back and pretty family friendly...
RIVER! If you have to ask you wont understand...

If jet boats work better there then I may have to tag along with someone else or bring my canoe.

The lake that it is names after is actually very small, the playing actually takes place on the river, Martinez is somewhat like Parker without the rocks, not really wide in some parts, lots of Sandbars but you can get around them if you play follow the leader, also you can make it from the Dam to the Big sandbar without a problem, that is about a 8 - 10 mile stretch of water, we can set-up on the lower Sandbar or just outside the entrance to Martinez, it would be no problem for you, or you can ride with me or another Jetter...

It looks like a nice place. It may be worth it for me to bring my ride.

Once you take a scout-run or two, you'll be comfortable with the conditions and where it's safe/deep. We did Blythe/McIntyre many times with our old outboard (way back when...)
Never spent quality time down "at the end", but have always wanted to.... my bud in Phoenix only goes to Yuma and has a 21' Tahoe I/O...
