I live in Valley Center. I need to meet with a contractor Saturday morning but I am free between that and noon.
Shoot me whatever information I need and I'll head over before leaving for Supercross. I'll take more pics with close ups while I am there.

I saw it and wasn't too impressed. Its definatly been used. There are holes from the motor mounts, interior as well a couple strang holes in the hull near the rear, about 12 inches from the transom going through the bottom. They had been glassed over but not painted over. I sent Tom a link to a bunch of close up shots so he can have a lot better idea of what its about.

Yep, looks like someone started to restore it and quit, it don't look that bad at all, if the price is right it would make a cool project!.

What I want to know, and its probably obvious once mentioned, is what are the holes for near the transom? They have stress cracks around them and I can't think what would be there with that much pressure on the hull.

Ya think? They are in the right place but why on this earth would you through bolt them?
Well, anything is possible I guess.

Mounting round fuel tanks that way is very common, but normally you countersink the holes for flatheads so the bottom is smoothe, obviously they didn't do that on this one!. The reason for the cracks is from the boat flexing, with the brackets clamped tight at both ends of the tank, the floor ends up taking a beating because the brackets don't give. I never did like that method of mounting tanks!.... It's no biggie to plug them up and you'll never know they were there!..
Although those don't really look like tank mounts, there usually about 8" apart and there should be another set of holes at the other end of the tank!.
