I hate to bring this up here but felt that there are enough cool peep's here that might know someone (networking). Long story short is that after several years of being divorced and having a fairly good 50/50 parenting plan, my ex dropped the bomb that she is goiong for full custody and petitioning for an out-of-state move approx 2000 miles away. WTF?! Out of the blue. That aside, does anybody know a GREAT attorney? Preferably one that is located in southwest RivCo. Any help would be appreciated

Sorry to hear that.  :(  The guy I used twice during the last 9 years does Riverside family court as well BUT his office is in Santa Ana.  You would probably get reamed for travel time. :(

The ex better have a good reason for wanting to move 2,000 miles away. :angry

My wife used to work for an attorney named Jeff Fritz.  He's based here in San Diego and nobody, BUT NOBODY wanted to be on the opposing side.  His track record is pretty impressive.  Best of luck to you and I'm sorry you have to endure this.

Full custody should be difficult for her to get unless you're just a total deadbeat or are willing to relinquish your rights......How old is your boy? In some cases they will hear what he has to say too and take it in consideration.
Fought many years with my ex for my boy, never went anywhere until she decided she didn't want him around anymore....
I wish you well on the issue, lots of emotional crap to live thru. Sad that its really the child who ultimately gets the worst of the deal....

Our boy is going to be 9 in May. This was all sprung on me in a matter of one - two weeks. It started with hints and now the threat of full blown court action. I normally would dismiss such claims from her but her new husband has already relocated. If that doesn't scream "outta here" I don't know what does. Thanks TW, I'll try him and see what's up. If need be I'll 2nd my house to fight it  :guns  I'll keep all posted
