Seems my buddy was up testing his new NOS setup on his Kachina, and he buzzed some bass boat and the guy ratted him off to the Man. Or so he is assuming. Then he was running around the lake the wrong way, then he hit the no wake zone to fast, and also exessive amount of donuts and speeds to fast for conditions. No tickets just a good long talking to. My buddy is a cop magnet he just pushes the edge too much and draws to much attention to himself with his "Fock You" attitude. I rarely go to the lake with him for that reason.

He was cracking me up how he said he was arguing with the cop on he knows what he's doing he's been boating all he's life. And he has :laugh  He just has no clue :beat

He was a diehard Apache lake guy for years. Then I got him to Havasu a few years ago and now thats he's favorite spot. He takes daytrips to Canyon.

His boat is about the same size as mine and he thinks its not to bad up at Havi. I keep telling him you've just been lucky. He'll get caught out on the lake when it gets going really big and then we'll see how he feels about Havasu.

He hates Roosevelt and he got tired of the dirt road to Apache so he doesn't go to either anymore :jumpie  :laugh So thats where I go ;)

He's an allright guy been a friend of mine for over 25 years. Just a little over the top sometimes. And by the way he's why Republicans scare me. He is so far Right, he makes Rush look like a Liberal :eek  :D

Wasn't me, I mostly work Saguaro but I'm thinking about moving to Canyon/Apache this summer.  I haven't been on the water since before Christmas though, too much training.  The guys that work Canyon are pretty cool and aren't too much into ticket writing, unlike the other guy working Saguaro lately.  He's new and loves the ticket book.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning kills boaters.  Take the time to learn about it and how to avoid it.

I'm tempted to transfer to Apache/Canyon for the summer, but it's tough to leave the river/Saguaro.  Come summer time we run non stop, mostly on the river.  I can get 100+ arrests per month on the river, like shooting fish in a barrel.  The lakes aren't as much fun for me, I've got a soft spot for boaters (not for tubers) and I don't write too many tickets, just a lot of lectures.  Plus, being stuck on a boat for 10 hours without being able to get in the water sucks when its 115 out.

I gave up on the Salt River adventure years ago, I'm sure its quite the hoot bustin that crowd. That would make a good Cops episode ;)

I guess it is a drag not being able to get in the water all day on a boat. No wonder I never see any LE at around 2 pm on the water.
