Well it looks like I'll be spending the summer on the boat at Saguaro.  As I've mentioned before, I was hoping to either stay on the river or move to Apache/Canyon but I was voluntold that Saguaro is my gig for now.  Soooo, I'll slap the HD sticker on the boat so you guys better come out and say Hi this summer.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning kills boaters.  Take the time to learn about it and how to avoid it.

Sorry you got "stuck" with Sagauro..   :(  Hopefully it won't be too bad this year.......!!  We will definately be looking out for you, and have a "cold one" ready for ya as well!!

There is a crew from HotBoat that runs around up there, mostly small jet boats. They hang up in the no wake zone and throw horseshoes alot.

It should be an interesting Summer for you thats for sure :drama  :D

Thanks Doug, I might hit you up for a blue one for the Hummer, but I got one left for the work boat, I gotta check.

Saguaro usually closes around 7 or 8 on the weekends and it will be packed again this summer, especially on the shores.  USFS is getting ready to close all the other recreation areas again this summer due to the fire danger, so remember, no fires except propane BBQ.  

I've seen alot of squirters back on Sandy Beach playin' horseshoes, but just about everyone back there is pretty tame.  It's the knuckleheads out on the water with the new boats I gotta worry about.  That and the Jet Skis  :guns

As much as I love PWC's I have almost hit and been hit by aggressivly maneuvering PWC's on Saguaro more than anywhere else. It sure is scary somedays even when we are anchored off the main lake when they come zipping in and out of coves.......just plain scary!

Saguaro is still on of my favorite lakes but it's such a pain in the ass to deal with, especially with almost 40' of boat and trailer.  The ramps there suck as #2 is my only option and it's usually taken up by 2 idiots who don't have any idea how to get on and off the water, especially considering it's supposed to be 3 lanes wide.  Then parking sucks unless by some miracle there is a spot at the bottom.  60' of truck and trailer only fit out of the way up at the top of the mountain they call a parking lot.  :angry  :D

On the positive side, I do like the beach and the fact that I don't have all kinds of idiots in bayliners trying to ram the side of my boat when they're trying to tie up, and then walk across the bow of my boat with shoes on.  Yeah, both of those happened last Summer.  Now we're more selective in the tie up process.   :good

I do plan on making a few more Saguaro trips this year though.  Just have to wake up way early to be out there before it fills up.   ;)

Its not too terribly bad on weekdays, if you have that luxury. Sometimes we leave early from work on a Wednesday and make it out there by 4 or so....3 hours of skiing and a sunset is not bad for a Wednesday.......... :plane

They used to have a pretty good fish fry out at the marina on Wednesday and Friday nights.  Nothing like an afternoon of boating and then some deep fried Saguaro Lake mystery fish.    :rotflmao  :D
