A thread on HB yesterday addressed a situation much like this where the father killed a boyfriend who said he was gonna take the daughter to Mexico....
11 yrs old........girls are so impressionable at that age.

I don't think they'll get this guy. She was last seen around 7am the alert went out around 2pm. They are about 4-5 hours from the boarder :(

Latest is they found the guy coming home from work at his grandmas house....He had no idea where the girl was, or that she was even missing.....at least that's what he says.......

She was found safe in a Mesa apartment.  Shaken but at last I heard the police were talking to her but the dick head has been arrested. She will go home.  He will spend the night in the gray bar hotel.   :good

Amber Alert canceled after Tempe girl is found safe


TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Tempe police have canceled an Amber Alert after an eleven-year-old girl is found this evening at a Mesa apartment complex. Tempe police say Valeria Cardenas appears to be in good, physical shape.

Valeria was found shortly after nine p.m. at Broadway and Horne in Mesa walking around the apartment complex.

Meanwhile, Tempe police have arrested a 19-year-old man that police say is the girl's boyfriend.

Tempe detectives found Carlos Alberto Mota-Aguilera this evening in Mesa. He was taken to Tempe police headquarters for questioning. Mota-Aguilera has since been booked into the Tempe City Jail with one count of custodial interference for his involvement in the girl's disappearance.

Valeria is expected to be reunited with family this evening.
