Way To Go In Oatman?
OATMAN, AZ - So, where do you go when in Oatman? Most tourists at the old west gold mining town would want to go see the burros, the gunfights, or the old hotel. No, this question is more literal. Where do you go? There are no permanent public toilets anymore and local business owners and residents are fuming.
What happened? That’s what town spokesman Jerry Love wants to know. He’s angry with the Mohave County Board of Supervisors because the town no longer has public use of the community center and “they have given the building away.” He says there’s been a lease between the board and the mining company “for over 50 years.” It was given to the town “back in 1951” and Love says “without any warning the lease was terminated and the building was closed.”
He wants answers to the crisis and is mad because nobody has responded to the town’s many letters and calls.
“We want to know how this happened, why did it happen and who benefited” Love asks.
The town is now using 9 "porta-potties" for the thousands of visitors to the small tourist mecca and many visitors, especially women, dislike them.
He can’t understand why the Mohave County Board of Supervisors won’t even respond. He believes the town’s lack of political power is part of the problem.
Meanwhile, the going gets rough.

Yes, I found that pretty funny. What are all the old people going to do?? They will need to wear "depends/briefs" when they go out sightseeing.
