Monique was nice enough to buy me an I-pod nano for my birthday. I can now give up the dated cd player I use at the gym. I was the only one still using a cd player there. lol Well there was some one using those head phone radio things (yellow ones too) still so I didnt feel that bad.  :rotflmao

In anycase is there just some store bought cd's that are not readable by apples software? I have a cd that the software will not read and will only play on the updated version of windows media player. I can't even convert the songs to MP3. I guess I'll just have to pay for the songs I want (again)on I-tunes  :drink  :break  :drink

Is the CD you are using from SONY BMG?  They put some copy protection on thier CDs a little bit ago.  I also read on RRL that the copy protection had spyware built into it... :fight

I did a search on Google with
CD Incompatible IPOD

And it came up with lots of hits.

I would beck the prefs in Itunes to make sure that Itunes is the default player.

Next insert the CD  right click and "open with" I tunes...

Next you can search for the album, and apply the song names that way...

If all of this doesnt work...  Convert to MP3 with Windows media... Save to a file within "My Music in My Docs folder..  then under file menu.... Select Import Folder, and viola... it should be in there....

If that doesnt work....  You can always just download the cd off of Limewire, and since you already paid for it, you will have no guilt :)

Good luck!

Been using it for about 2 years...no problems.  :good

Billing is by download/byte x-fer.  The higher quality you choose, the bigger the file, the higher the x-fer cost.

i-Tunes default quality/compression is 192, which is fine for me.  Come out great when expanded back to CD.   :good

Go and buy an "internet check" per their reco.  When it's used up, go buy another...no problems here either.

What I like is the music selection.  Look at the collections they have of Zepplin, Floyd, etc....pretty amazing.

Just can't find any Rhino Bucket... :D
