When other people launching their boats cut in front of us on the launchramp,, we all have a rule we let it pass,, no hassle, no friction,, forget about it (someone else usually takes issue with it anyway)

Also,,

The biggest thing my friends and I agree on is let the girls in our group handle guys that hit on them in our presence.

Ya get into a fight and ya all leave the Holiday right there at the scene of the incident.

The girls all agree, and appreciate that we don't feel dickless with them telling the guys to buzz off,, and they won't make us look like horses ass's when guys do make a move on them.

And another spin:

The last person on earth a troublemaker should get in a swing with is a teen age kid that can waterski from the Bluewater Buoy to the dam and back.
The opponent will get their butt kicked. I've seen it,, especially if the altercation is in the water.

Any kid that can ski like that is tough, with astronomical endurance and strength, and a lot of the kids at the river can.
Waterskiing is a physically tuff sport.

My daughter and her girlfriends occasionally get problems with older drunks at the Emerald cove pool, and our policy to the boys is let the girls handle it.
It has gone to swings, and the waterski kids win over the drunks everytime, and within seconds.

The fat drunks touch the girls and it's battlestations, the teenagers playing sets on the drunks heads with their fists, the little kids the girls are babysitting running to our RV from the pool to get me to come to the pool and break it up.

I was sitting one of many days at the BlueWater bar while three punks were sizing up guys who were with girls dancing.

They were obviously going to start trouble with any guy that they though they were tougher, by hitting on his girl in front of him,, usually on the dance floor.

They ended up in a huge brawl,, and got their asses kicked deluxe.
Proves my theory.

I've always figured that guys that start trouble like this aren't very tough. Ya have a 90% chance of easily defeating them in about 30 seconds.

For example,, look at your friends that can really fight and are really tough.
They never start any trouble with anyone. But trouble occasionally finds them, and they are tough.

Jimmy Martinez, Chuck Tremain, George Halley, Hells Angel Steve, Barry Susans, lots of tough boating dads I know at the river never start trouble,, but all have a 30 second drill, and we practice it amongst ourselves.

Ya let the girls,, then the bouncers,, or the system handle it first,, but sometimes things happen so fast,, and the troublemakers are such A Holes it goes to blows.

My Fiance' Alice has an violent ex that occasionally comes around starting trouble.
With a restraining order I get him hooked up and hauled off.

But sometimes it comes to boxing. He has a big mouth full of threats,, and that told me I had a 90% chance of knocking him out within 30 seconds.

He's a pick up musician that barely makes any money of course,, and he's come to understand he ran off a big bankroll in Alice a few years back. He still thinks she'll return, and he's abusive to her.

I caught him going through my trash early one morning a few Fridays ago and we went at it again.

I led with my left and then guarded my face with my left,, then took him down with a series of rights to the jaw and nose stepping off with my left standing firmly on my right foot.

He got off the pavement and got in his ragitty ass 300z and left bleeding.

Works even better if ya mace them first. Gun stores all have good mace now,, and ya no longer need a permit.

My son rode his bike twice a week to a local martial arts school.
No membership, just $10 a lesson.

He was in a nearby Jr hi where the County drops off lots of kids in the Foster/abuse system.

Often these poor new kids would show at school up trying to establish fear from other kids. They come from very bad backrounds,, and they are dropped off in an affluent neighborhood,,, a bad mix.

Trev was told to use the system, let the teachers handel it if possible.

Trev had several fights a semester,, but he used a 2 minute drill,, and always came out on top. Mutual combat got him suspended, but I'd leave work, load up the quads,, and we'd go ride for the day.

I felt bad for the poor skid kids that got annilhilated, in addition to all their other awful problems.

Use tact and the system if you can,, but if you can't,, ya should be prepaired.

I agree........ I never look for trouble, but it always seems to find me.  :stupid

What martial arts school charges by the lessons rather than the month?  I practiced it for 12yr, but now the schools are just to expensive.

Another great reading by TPC, I personally have never been in a fight but if the situation ever rears it's ugly head I will remember these writings. Thanks TPC...

My son is in a class, It's a 9 month contract, payroll deduction, and the have a min. # of days he has to attend.

I handle things the same most of the time by avoiding it, but when I'm in a bad mood it's passive agressive, no hitting just tossout the insults to piss them off :beat

I was lucky enough to be able to train under a friend for 3 yrs for just the price of the tests and got spoiled. I started looking around for something new (different) and I am with you it's $$$$.

Nice  TPC :good

It really is amazing how women can handle themselves when other guys hit on them... Heck... They are used to it!  A woman/girl can leave a man more hurt verbaly than if you hit them with a  :beat hammer :D

Restraint is sometimes difficult, but is the easiest choice in the end!

You said it my friend.  I love watching the "tough guys" get their teeth kicked in.  Some of my baddest friends give you no indication of how bad they are and you can't tell by looking at them.

Works the same way as the Scottsdale "millionaires" around here.  The people who talk about how much money they have are the ones living in an apartment in a bad neighborhood and trolling for high dollar 'gina in upscale bars.  Cracks me up.   :rotflmao

Everyone is a tough guy, until you meet one.
