Interesting how the "lagoon" wasn't much of a lagoon then.
Cool pics.
Someone had posted a link about the bridges at Topock...The bridge that carries the water line over the river next to the I-40 bridge was the original Route66 bridge....I dig learning about stuff like that. I even liked Oatman...LOL

I hadn't gone since it became the theatre but I guess it went belly up.
I was there when it was still a brewery and restaraunt...it was good then. Breakfast was delish.
Seems like whatever was in there had a tough go at it because access seemed weird and then still off the beaten track...most people walking would turn around after the went under the bridge and head back towards LBR.

So typical we hang mostly on the north end, and we had noticed alot of the shops we liked were gone last time. The center section down by the bridge and south is a bit busy for us but the pizza place upstairs was dam good :good

Well now that I think about it we do spend alot of time in the little bar at the LBR also :beer

I think thats the part of the English Village they talk about tearing down.....
Now with the new condo's and walkway north of that there is a significant number more pedestrians venturing that way...a good attractive shop/restaraunt could probably be more successful now.
I'd hate to see them tear it down, gives the area some character.....
We shall see :peace

We have pictures of my brother and I standing next to all the blocks with numbers to reassemble the bridge in the late sixties, so with water it had to be after that.

Cool shots :good  :good
