Yesterday at work I was cuting a guy for not paying his bill and the Ahole pulled a gun on me :angry  :angry

I finished my work and filed a police report, called corprate security, and fixed his A$$, he won't be getting any service for awhile. A$$  :angry  :angry  :guns  :guns

Where I work...in South Central, you have to have eyes in the back of your head. There are loonies on every corner and in every car. You might have seen the news 2 days ago - 2 Sheriffs shot making a stop......3 blocks from my factory! :eek

We had a guy come in to the office and pull a gun on the district manager for not connecting his service.   :eek  :D

It's the wild wild west sometimes.   :guns  :guns :D

In all honesty I'm suprised it doesn't happen more often.  Anymore, alot of our disconnects are for dead beat tweekers to busy cooking meth to pay the bills.  Alot of the time, they get disconnected at the transformer.

Something very similar happened to me during my tenure for the last company I worked for, had a shotgun pushed in my face, told the guy, fock it you can have the machine, went outside called the cops them my super, cops showed up and I took the machine as I watched the guy get arrested...

yep, we joke about the compton wallet toss, we all carry dummy wallets with twenty or so in them, if you don't have any money they know its fake and F you up.we usally do cuts with two guys, but it seemed ok, but you can pick the house out on the block, lawns not mowed dead cars in the drive stolen junk scattered all over. he came out the back door with a shotgun and pionted it up the roof at me. :eek  :eek  :eek

Had a cop pull a gun on me years ago here at my store.. I was just a kid at the time, maybe 12ish. Store was closed but I was hanging with my dad doodling around...I was( :rolleyes ) making sure all the soda labels were facing right side up in the soda machine and the cop had his gun drawn and aimed at the back of my head. I almost peed myself.
That was the last time I bothered with the soda BOTTLE machine......

That is crazy!!  Hope you get extra hazardous pay!

Zig, I don't get it, why did the cop pull the gun on you?  Did he think you weren't supposed to be there or something?  Seems to me to pull a gun on a kid, you'd better think your life or someone else's is in danger.  Or am I missing something?

I never cut anyone's electricity off, but I refused to cash someone's handwritten payroll check before.  After I walked away, I got jumped from behind in front of around 20 people. :eek The guy never got me on the ground, but my elbow hit a copy machine so hard that it split open requiring stitches. :angry

I went on a svc call one time and this clown was stealing phone and electric from the neighbors apt. apparently he had decided to use jumper cables to steal the power at the demarc.. Classic!

When I lived in an appartment, one appartment had the power turned off. The neighbor allowed the guy to run an extension cord over his appartment to run his refridgerator,t.v., lights..... The power Co. wasn't amused....

What's really frustrating is that most the time the companies don't take legal action because it's more expensive to pursue than it is to take the hit

Time are tougher now, we cut for some stupid amounts, less than $200. some of it is more deposit now, they get behind so we ask for a larger deposit, they shine it on because they have lights, so we cut. My labor and the truck cutting and reconnecting is more than $200. and no gun in the face :stupid  :angry




today somebody hit the truck ripping, the headlight off , what a F@#ing week :banghead  :banghead
