No joking about the bug splatter............I had to comb my radiator after going that way so the engine would cool.

Enough bad talk about Rice Rd. and it'll be empty soon  ;)

on Sun AM you could cross desert center without much traffic, the weekenders won't be leaving till noon or later.

I don't know the exact route up the 95 :stupid

The 95 on the Cali side of the river sucks ass or at least it did the last time I was on it. Cross the bridge and go up the AZ side :good

Yeah like KC says, the Ca.95 sucks....so, if you don't take DesertCenter/RiceRoad route then take Exit 1 after crossing the river(Erinburg), we're talking this is maybe a 1/4 mile into Az.. Take a left then right at the stop sign and follow this all the way into Parker which ends at the Az95(ends up just east of the Chevy dealer).
Be sure to follow all the posted speed limits as it is watched closely with little or no tolerance.

Your right, Sun AM should be no prob. through Desert Center...just been a few years... :beat

Think I'll do the AZ side on the way up, then over to Phoenix via the 72 / back to the 10.  I did the 60 last year; seemed to take longer to me....a lot more 2 lane roads, for sure.

If you hit Desert Center early enough it'll be fine to take, but if your closer to mid-day then you'd begin facing all the drivers that pass heading towards you trying to race home.

Thats the Ca.95...........its not the way to go IMO, not the best road and has some curvy sections.....plus it kinda backtracks and still leaves you 20 miles out of Parker..

Go from Vidal through Parker and catch the 72 back to the 10...just did this last Sunday.  You hit the 10 with about 100mi into town.
