"PFD Trade-In" At Safety Fair
LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ - The boating season is here for the Tri-State area, and law enforcement officers are doing what they can to educate boaters before they hit the water.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Sergeant Tim Smith said area water safety agencies will be conducting a Boating Safety Fair at the Windsor launch ramp in Lake Havasu on Saturday, May 6th.
“There will be a house boat trip given away,” said Smith. “There will be information booths, a water search and rescue demonstration and a life jacket trade-in.” He explained old and worn out life jackets will be replaced by new PFD's provided by Yamaha.
People entering the park with a boat will still have to pay a launch fee. Those without boats need to mention they're attending the fair and the park fee will be waived.

That's mighty nice of the peeps at Yamaha. Too bad I can't make it though, I have at least a half dozen old vests stuffed away in the garage attic.

Keepin' em there for that big flood that's comin'! :eek
