I wonder if we'll be affected here if all the casino kitchen and housekeeping staff stay home? :confused Nevada law says if casinos can't serve food, they must shut down until food can be served again.

Do they get to call in sick , and use there benefits? Sounds like it's a small place, make them lose a days pay.

I don't think the car wash I went to the other day in Las Vegas will be open. They have like 50-60 workers and they are all Mexican. :confused

BTW. It was the best car wash I have ever had in my 47 years. :good

Normally you call in with the absence; today it has to be in writing with attached doctor's report with in the next 24 hours.... :banghead

I have about 130 peeps here at the factory and pretty much all of 'em showed for work today.

We just told them that we never bailed on them and we expect them to do the same. They agreed and we even let them choose to come in early if they felt they needed to participate in anything later in the day. We had a few takers.

But it's business as usual here in South Central. You see, our workers that aren't citizens by birth went through the system and did it the right way and became naturalized citizens. They don't want amnesty or an easy way out for anybody else.

I agree. We have laws already - don't need to change or add any. Just follow the ones we have.  :peace

It's a fact of Life:

After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

My youngest daughter who is half Mexican told me that she wanted to stay home and support the protestors, I told her, the Mexican half wants to stay home but the White half is going to school, get your ass out of bed and get ready to go... :laugh

BTW, We had a lot of people here at our factory not show, looks like we shut down approx. 25% of the plant, not sure yet how the company is going to deal with the people that called in...

Here's how bad the media has people brainwashed. My wife went through the whole immigration process. She was born in Mexico but spent 99.999999% of her life here. When I met her, we went on roughly 2 or 3 trips to INS to make sure all the paperwork was in and she was staying legal. She became a citizen about 10 years ago. Bottom line, she, of all people know that there is a legal way to becoma a U.S. citzen. So last night we're watching the news and this story starts, I say "I hope they fire every dirtbag that doesnt show up for work!" She says, "well that's mean, they just want citizenship!" I asked why these people should just be able to cut in line like that and bypass the laws. Needless to say it was quiet night after that. I just cant believe someone that went through the entire process can think like this. I blame the media
