Since Martinez is "toast", mama says Laughlin for the 13th... Opinions...?? Never been myself....
Figure on taking the boat and making a few runs in the daytime...

Depends on what you're looking for in a hotel/casino and what kind of boat you have. For your first time on that stretch, it's not bad. I prefer it upriver, but I'm biased Bummer you picked the only weekend we won't be there, but cruise around upriver (away from the lake lice) and I think you'll enjoy it. WATCH OUT FOR SANDBARS! If you don't know the area, go slow and read the water.

I love the Avi. We have always had good service, the food is good and it's the only Indian casino I've actually won at. Don Laughlin owns a stake in it, so it's run pretty well. If you go, you've got to get the Avi Potatos in the buffet. We stop there just for those on the way home from the trailer sometimes. The water is pretty shallow there right now, but better than it was 2 weeks ago. There is water in the lagoon and the buoys are almost upright at 10 in the morning. They also have a movie theater there and the grocery store is right across the bridge.

okay, perhaps it was tequila
Sounds pretty yucky. Must've had an issue with some filters somewhere.

Those holes put us in the original wing, even though we requested the beach tower, but when I've stayed in the beach tower the water was pretty gross there too, it smelled like pine sol... Very strange So I would definately recommend bringing your own bottled water up to the room! But don't get me wrong, I love the AVI and would stay there on my next trip if there were rooms available. You just can't beat the convenience. We keep the boat in storage in Needles, so we just drive to Needles every morning and get the boat and launch in Needles, then at the end of the day we put it back in storage and drive back to the Avi, and do the same thing the next day. That way we don't have to worry about leaving it out all night.
Goin to the river to destroy my liver!

Maybe someone here has a recent copy, can find it and post it here for ya. |
That would be great..!!! Checked the on-line reservations and the avg. 2 day price is $69 for King/River View....dates availabe, so I better book it..
