We have been dicussing getting a playmate for Happy Dog. Think it's about that time. We are wanting some type of a small dog. Any ideas would be most helpful.

Son just got a Maltese, never stops barking so it stays at the ex's.
We go the the river so much we'll probably get a water dog like a Lab.

I'd check the local shelters and see who needs a home.  Those pets are already somewhat adjusted to the Havi weather.  Take Happy Dog along as it will be his companion ultimately.   :good

Would you be up for a rescue dog? We have saved about 25 so far over the years, including mine.
