Got back sunday from a great weekend on the water!  104 and very light wind  :D

Definatly alot o boats out but it was still a great time!!!

Sand bar was PACKED, this is still early about 11:30  when we left the boats were 4 deep and if you got there early... You werent getting out :drink

I dont think I have ever seen so many ciggarette and offshore 40 footers going through the gorge...  The water was a washing machine at times...

And.. After some more mods on the boat... Got her up to 65 with 5 people, full tanks, a whole lot o beer...

That was early... When I still had cash... But I didnt bring the girl friend, so surprisingly I actually came back from the trip with cash!!!  Go figure... :stupid

Too bad on our "secret" beach....they usually crank up the flow on the week-ends and it gets buried.

I just talked to Steve at Jerkwater Canoe in Topock, as they run float tours from Moabi to Castle Rock all the time.  They HAVE NOT HEARD anything from the Refuge, as yet, with respect to the NO WAKE changes.

I'll wager it happens by Memorial.   :cool

Still were a bunch of cats screaming throught there at 120mph or so  :beat   One of them passed us floating within 20-30 feet and got us with the spray from the out-drives..

F'in jackass!!!!!!!

I understand the glass bottle argument... And I hope it makes it better but...  Every last bottle that we bring out, comes back with us in trash bags!!!!!  Nothing goes in the water or on the beaches...

It was funny, there was a girl on the boat that was litterally ready to jump, when they were coming by...  

But what I dont understand is why they had to be soo close. We were way off to the side...  Maybe it made them feel big with there 30someodd foot boat next to my 20.5...  :bebe

Hey MrCord, what kind of GPS is that? And how do you go about hooking that thing up?  I don't know anything about them but I thought it would be a pretty good gift for my man for his birthday... Is there really a difference between the spedo and that thing? What else do you use it for? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated... THX

That is a Garmin GPS  Cost me $120.00.

There is a difference in them.  This one has the speedo, odometer, etc.. But the really cool part is the base map.  You can see how far down the river you are, see how far it is to the place you want to go.. And mark off cool fishin spots :)

Its a cool little toy, but I dont need it to find my way home :)
