My mans sportin wood has finally done it! After 6 years of hard work Angie will graduate from CSU San Marco's with a K-12 teaching credential on Sat. May 13th. She recieved her BS last year at CSUSM, and ran the last lap of her education this year. Angie hopes to teach American history at Paloma High school in Menifee but will take just about any Social science position she can get. With this credential MMSW can teach at any grad level, but hopes to make an impact in the lives of teenagers. Angie also holds a certificate in Photography from Riverside City Collage.
I am extreamly proud of my wife, she work hard to obtain this education, working most of the 6 years part time and raising our family full time. I think my wife may be a direct reletive to Chuck Norris because she somehow was able to balance all of that and still get good grades, hit the Gym,find time for me, and the kids, work around the ranch, and surf the damn boating boards. I really think she is subhuman as she sleeps with her eys open and a book in her hand.
Good Job Honey

Congradulations Angie!
And Im not sure if this will help her or not, but my Mom is the Dep Superintendant and Irvine Unified School District and has been the Dirrector of HR for many years as well as a HS principal... Anyways, she has checked out the application packets for many of my friends that have applied to be teachers and has been able to help them shape their packet with the things that principals look for in a teacher...
I dont know if she needs any help with her appp... but if she has questions on it, I would be able to provide a resource that might really help I just know that the packets are pretty complex...
Anyways, just FYI and I wish Angie the best!

Congratulations to both of you! I'm graduating with a Master's myself this month and know how much dedication it takes. If Paloma HS doesn't hire her, she might want to check out Palo Verde School District about 15 minutes to the North. They will often hire new graduates....more often than Murrieta Valley and Temecula Valley School Districts.

Thanks, hunny. Chuck Norris It has been a very challenging experience for me, but I wanted out of that grocery store something terrible and figured it was time to do something about it. I actually had 38 units of college work already before I began this 6 year excursion. That's about a year and a half of full time or 10 years of part time My family and home sacrificed a lot to get me here. The most difficult thing was having to tell my kids that I didn't have time to listen to their stories, or read to them, or watch a movie with them because I had homework to do. I just had to keep telling myself that it was going to be better for them in the long run and remind myself that I was doing it so that I would have more time with them.
I wasn't as excited last year, because I knew that I still had another year to go. But this time, the reality has really hit me that I will be done!!!!!
Thanks for the congrats, everyone. Doug, I'm glad I could be an inspiration for you. There is a great life (and a normal one! ) outside of the store. RVRGIRL, I don't know if you and Mike plan on having kids or not, but if you do, do it before you have them!! Or at least get a good head start. And nurses make $$$$$ and like firemen, they work 12s and get 3-4 days off a week. That leaves lots of river days.

We most likely won't be having any children. Might just get a puppy instead. I think I am too old to raise a child. I'm 36. Plus we would have to adopt and that is such a long process. Maybe next year I will try nursing school. I almost have my AA degree from Fullerton College so that will help. Just something to think about I guess.. CONGRATS AGAIN... Very excited for you.
Thats "MRS" RVRGIRL 2 you..... "When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila and salt."
