On inspection it was locked, just not thru the latch
another call with an invintory list and all is good, the park threw one of there locks on.
Two close calls in as many trips. what the F

Left on ceiling fan for 3 weeks before... . Worst one I did was going to a friends place to stay the weekend and as I arrived at 1am we found that his power had been shut off.....but instinctively you still don't believe it, so I still tried several light switches around the house.....flick,flick,flick, on and off with the same result of nada. Next day we left and went home to Ca and I let him know his power was off.....He makes the call to have it restored(billing error)..... might have been weeks later that he arrived late night to find his house fully ablaze in lights inside.....opps, left a few switches in the on position

About an hour and a half of leaving Cali to go to Havi, I realized I forgot the boat keys (boats in Havi).
Yup.......I had to turn around and head back home to get the boat keys.

We were went to Roosevelt lake for the weekend. First morning there I went to the cooler to get the breakfast burito's to start warming them up. UHM.... Well it was kinda hard to do when them things were still back home in the freezer. So it was chips and dip with a beer for breakfast.

Did I tell you guys about the cat? We had this cat that was roaming around the trailer park and snuck in as we were packing up to leave. This occurred in July. We came back 2 weeks later and open the door and this cat flies out. It was still alive!! Thank God, because can you imagine how bad it would have stunk to have a dead cat cook at 150 degrees for 2 weeks? That made the little bit of crap and piss much more bearable. It didn't have anything to eat, so there wasn't much crap. The only place it could have gotten water from is the little bit in the toilet. I always leave the seat up when we leave now, just in case.

It's not what I forget, but what I just don't bring...
I used to pack EVERYTHING for our trips, extra beach chairs, lounges, cots for sleeping, extra sun-shades, beach blankets, camp stove (for cooking on the beach), sand toys, all kiinds of rafts/floats/etc.......and etc.....and etc....
Today, it's pretty simple: IF YOU WANT IT, YOU PACK IT OR PUT IT BY THE BOAT. It might get out there, but not guarentees....
Funny how they DON'T MISS IT any longer.....

Are you serious? I MAKE Jeff leave his at home. I can't even count the times that builders have called him at 3:30 on a Friday while we are in 29 Palms headed east telling him that he NEEDS to take care of something that day. Sorry.

Ok, you're gonna love this....two weeks ago my wife tells me she wants to leave the dog home this trip.
But why?, I moan.
Because it'll be too hot for him and we'll be at the wedding and besides, when we go to breakfast a Topock he sits in the boat and barks! (yes, that's us)
I say, "OK" make the reservation for the Doggy Dude Ranch.
Guess what? I'm going down the list this morning...."Hey Honey"..."did you make the reservation? you have to drop him off tonight you know".....
No reservation...she just called, he is behind on his shots...so now he has to go to the vet and they have to do an exam before they will give him shots 'cause it's been a while since they examined him.
More $$$$$$ than I expected - but then, I expected that somehow.....just didn't know where it would go!
It's a fact of Life:
After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......
