Seen that video before......fricken nuts the way he made that leap about 3/4 the way up. As KC says, the comments make it sound like he died doing what he loved.

Actually, his other passion was a sport that he invented. It involved jumping off these huge cliffs and using a climbing rope to stop himself. Kind of like an extreme bungee jump. His final jump was a 1000' free fall to be stopped by a rigging of climbing rope. Unfortunately, he miscalculated the angle and the stress on the rigging, despite the fact he had successfully done the jump at 925' several times in previous days, and the rope broke, sending him to his death. An amazing climber, just not the sharpest pencil in the box.
