Another thing I've noticed is how packed the various Ford, Dodge and GM dealership lots are with new unsold trucks.
Tonight on TV, the Las Vegas Ford dealers were advertising 0% financing and 1 year of free gas.

My niece just picked up a nice, used PT cruiser.
She was driving a '93 Burb 1500, 4" lift and big wheels, and it was eating her aliive in gas and repairs. After she spun the rear-end, it was done.
It's just sittin' in West Covina.....any takers...??

If GM would just put one of the Turbo'd Ecotech engines in the HHR... hmmmmmm.... Â |
I'll bet that's just what you'll be seeing on the horizon. Ever since Bob Lutz took over the reins at GM, has been listening and responding to what the public wants. Ala Pontiac Solstice, V-8 Malibu, GTO, HHR, SSR and the upcoming '08-'09 Camaro. The HHR is in direct response to the Ford Escape and all that it needs to be the next sales leader is more juice under the hood for towing.

She's probably going to have to pay someone to take the Burb off her hands.
My buddy in Mira Mesa just let his '77 Chevy C-20 4X4 with big tires, fairly fresh engine and trans go for $500 to some Mexican from T.J. just to get it out of his driveway.
This $3.00 plus per gallon is nothing but political to force the public to buy little cars.
