Here's the jist on the "Raiders"

Roughly 1500 years ago, there was a group of Nomads who traversed the plains of Kilimanjahroo.  Half of them were from the priviledged "Rai" tribe while the "Ders" begot a time of hardship and famine for several 100 years leading up to the Age of the Nomads.  There was this extremely hairy (for back then they didn't have razors) Ders clanswoman who had an eye for an aspiring Neanderthal type Rai man.  He was built with the physique of a bear and was really good with his club.  The story goes that once he lost his club while hitting a lion over the head and whipped out his own club to further impact pain on this ferocious Lion.  His club was so strong and forceful that he killed the Lion with one swipe of his hand.

Anyway, back to the story....

This Ders clanswoman really wanted to feel the true power of Rai's strongman so one night, while the birds were sleeping and the crickets had started their sonnet of pre-mating with one another before the consummation began, this young clanswoman crept into the abode of Neanderthal Rai clansman's habitat.  He had no knowledge of her affection towards him and was busy polishing his club when she cept in.  He was so surprised he slipped from polishing and it caused the club to spew forth spurts of splinters.  A few managed to impale her in her open mouth and the rest is history.  Somehow, she became pregnant, had a child boy and hence began the swarm of Raiders and Raiderettes.
