We are think of going to Apache Lake on vacation, I hear that the road is very windie to get there, will it be o.k. in a 34' motorhome pulling a 26' boat?  How is the R.V. park to stay at?        Thanks

Wholy crap he lives!!!!  :D      How the hell have you been???

I would personaly not attempt the trail in that rig. but you may be able to go up Roosevelt and come down.  There are a few that run up there and I bet they will chime in with better info

I'm thinking its a few feet too much rig. And your driving skills need to be far above average to attempt it from the Phoenix side. There are some 40+ foot houseboats docked at the Marina so it can be done but I would come in from the other end of the lake. I've got a few pics of the road I'll post.

WoW.... I guess I'll pass, just a little too tight.  I have seen photos and heard you guys talk about it and it looks like a real nice lake, but a little too hard to get to in a motorhome.

Thanks

Roosevelt is there too.  It is a bigger lake and has camping areas.  Rosey you have room cut that boat lose and let it run.   :good

I'd never take a rig like that up or down Fish Creek Hill.  You might be alright, like everyone else said, coming down from Roosevelt to Burnt Corral, but not on a busy weekend.  Whenever we move boats around from there, we usually use a pilot car to clear the way.  I'd go for Roosevelt.  I used to love to camp there, but that was years ago when you could get a good spot on the beach and launch right out of your camp.  I don't think you can do that anymore.  Besides, the Sheriff's are nicer up there (Gila County).

No RV parks close to the water, well at least within walking distance anyway. Lake View has about 5-6 spots. Most people us the Forest Service camp grounds. They are close to the water, well most offthem are some are way away from the water. Most have showers, bath rooms and potable water available. Shade and tables are in each campground. No RV hook ups that I'm aware of.

Call Lakeview RV Park 928-467-2203 they have either 8 or 10 full hookups it's across the road from the Roosevelt Marina. They are not open (or taking calls) on Sunday. It's $25.99 a day.   :good

Thank you guys soooooo much. I called the marina and they gave me the number for lake view, I called on Saturday and got 3 spots.
Now how is lake view? Is it a dive? Is my wife going to kill me for staying there?
What about mooring the boat? when we go to Havasu (crazy horse or sand point) we set a anchor for the boat. Can you do that or get a slip?

Thanks again

They have slips avail. at the marina I am not sure how much $. You prob won't be able to leave your boat in the water otherwise. I take mine out at the end of each day. By the way you can walk down to the marina from Lakeview and get ice and what not at the store (before 5pm) and they also have a small bar there that they open up here and there. Lakeview isn't the ritz but it's ok  :good

They better not :angry .It'll get too crowded. All I do is put my cover on just before I go down the dirt raod and the boat stays clean.Still one of the best places for boating that I go to ;) .And in the evenings a few hours before sunset the v-drivers and jetters all meet out in front of Burnt Coral and the dragraces begin. :jumpie

You should not have much trouble comming in from the Roosevelt side to Burnt Corral. They have a hookup side and a primative side where you can get right in the trees by the shoreline.
