I heard today one of my friends didn't feel so well and went in to see his doctor.  At 41 years old, he was admitted to the hospital and had emergency open heart surgery.

Quintuple bypass.....at 41 ?!?  He hit the gym nearly every day.  Spin classes, protein shakes.....he wasn't exactly thin, but not out of shape either.

He is already home after only 3 days in the hospital.  He's in pain but wil recover quickly.

CrAzY....take chest pain seriously.....

On the brite side it's nice that it's a perfected proceedure and available.

I suggest to anyone over 40 to have a body scan and see how clogged they might be, and plac build up.
A real eye opener.

A friend of the family passed away just last week from a heart attack, never had any other health problems that I know of... he was in his mid-50's and a fairly active person.

The reaper is out there...  :alien

WOW, that's crazy...I do hear of this more and more often though. I think it's all those processed foods people eat. I had a client have a heart attack at age 36. I hope he got a second opinion, I would have if I was as active as you say he was.

Sounds like he picked the wrong parents.
Genetics and sex are the biggest factors in HD. Smoking is the biggest of those we can control. Exercise, wt control, and diet help. But they can't totally prevent the effects of the wrong genetics, just delay it some...

41 :eek seems young, even worst since I am 41 :confused
