Well, it looks like my old 1977 Bahner is for sale on eBay, being sold by the guy that I sold it to last year. Here is the item number: 190005047488

If anyone is looking for a vintage boat, I would give this a serious look. I know every little thing about this boat (well, at least up until I sold it, that is)

That's so DD! :p How are the BOYS in BOISE treatin' da Danger? :good BTW; I might have been interested in the boat except for three things; 1) Don't have the cash; 2) Can't own a boat that blows aft when the nut behind the wheel sux; and 3) Would not want to be mistaken for Dick Danger by some unsavory character that ya may have crossed in the past! :laugh Oh; and where's da prop? :stupid

Hey, thanks for all of the props!!! When that thing was running right, it was so fast and tight. I think that I know what mechanical problem that the guy is having, and if I still had it, I bet that I could fix it. An easy fix. I can guarantee that if anyone on here bought it, you cant find another original paint job on a vintage boat (although Hallet Daves is pretty sweet!!!;) I bet that guy would take $9000 for it. I easily put twice that into it when I had it. Wifey was spot on, those seats were right at the same time as the Christmas party.

Linda and I are building a brand new custom home, that is loosely designed around our house in SoCal. It is going to be a sick party house!!! Wish all you guys could make it for a party. The house is one story, 3000 sq ft, with a HUGE garage. I have been working my ass off trying to put out brush fires everywhere, and have been riding the Indian every chance that I get. We arae going to Kauai in October for 10 days, and that should be sweet.

Gig, my big buddy, I think that my old boat would fit you pretty well, so get to bidding!!! Hope that you and the wife are doing well, and we mis all of you guys that are here on the forum. Bill and Shelli need to bring that Stroker up here. The lakes around here just dont even compare to anything in SoCal. Pyramid may come close. Being boatless sucks!! -DD Out

Personally, what I think the problem is that the motor is starving for fuel. The tanks are top fed, and when I put the new motor in, I had to go to an electric fuel pump, which I mounted at the level of the bottom of the tanks. If I still had the boat, I would take the fuel tanks out, (which is easy) and swap them for bottom draw tanks. I know that the owner has put like $3500 into it since he bought it from me, and says that it still isnt running quite right. -DD Out

Eletric pumps are pushers not pullers, and if the pump is low and any distance from the tanks, the pump has a hard time drawing the fuel from the top, also if there's any distance to the carb the larger the lines need to be!..

I would agree with that, and again, I think that the problem is an easy fix. Before I sold it, it idled and ran great up until about 3200 RPM, just when the secondaries on the carb were trying to open, then it would cough and sputter. I mounted the fuel pump on one of the stringers, about 24 inches of line from the carb. I know that he told me that he bought a new carb for it, new distributor, new alternator (which the dist. and alt. were pretty much new when I sold it to him). -DD Out

If you build it, they will come! Congrats on the house. As far as biddin' on the boat; as soon as I can find someone that can print me up a "I'm a 'DICK'; but I'm not 'DICK'Danger!" t-shirt! :laugh

Yep, yep, Ol'Boise. But man, to see the lakes here, they are just outrageous. Clean water, nice sandy beaches, plenty of docks along the lakes to tie up your boat. It is awesome. I found a v-drive for sale on eBay, and Linda told me that I was a dead man if I bought it. So much for that deal....-DD Out

P.S. If you can find or make a shirt that says "I may be a Dick, but I am not a Dick Danger" I would definitely be sportin that around!!!
