I have an 02 -29' open bow 572-725hp does 80mph in vegas in the heat,b1-26p prop imco drive. is there any speed left or do I need to wait for cooler weather?

hot boat did a test [sept 02] said it ran 85 with a 540

When i got the boat it ran 71mph :angry
guy I bought it from lied about every thing  :beat
what I did to get 10 more mph :grouphug
bumped the timing to 36 from 22, it,s a lock out msd
at 38 it started to run slower
changed the blower spark plugs to hotter range
put a water restrickter in was @ 100 degrees now
at 125, cleaned up the middle range 1050 doninater
went to a 26p b1 4 blade from a 24p----
tryed a 28 but the motor never got in to vacume and only turned 5k rpms
blue printed the last 3foot of the outer sponson
sharpened the transom edge
put tunnel tabs, huge differance in the middle range speed,
boat never kites!!! did it once to about 45 degrees. about a 3-4 second ride!!! I remember saying " hoooooo  leeeeee $heeeeit!!!! thats about 3-4 seconds

I would like to see 85 mph in the heat [ honest 85 mph]

I have the prop getting labbed and the ring removed
also have a 25p hydromotive on the way :comp

it's a hyd.roller--- don't know the specs.----I had a 510 alky motor in my F.E>Dragster that ran like this motor.the cam was backed up 4 degrees at the big end it would just lay down allmost every pass was 176or 177 mph :stupid

With 4 degres back you need more in the blower, of course the efficiency goes away too. Move the timing up and take some out of the blower and it'll wake up, also won't be so vicious on the bottom end!..
