this is mainly for sail boats, but is basically nice for motor boat mannors too... http://www.graynwhite.com/ss/Boat_etiquette.htm
I hate it when people load the boat and are rude or careless with our boat...wish I could find a boater's etiquette site for motor boats!

Yes, that's what was cool about it. My stepson's buddy from Fla...his first time on the Colorado
He has a boat and I'm sure he's been there too. So it was very cool of him to ask for the benifit of the 3 newbies on board.
One thing for sure, they have an open invite. I'm actually working up the courage to throw the biy the keys one of these days. |
I agree...It was VERY nice of him to do the asking...I'm sure it was for the benefit of the newbies!
I think we should compile a list of No-No's and I'll put a 'boating manners' list together...what are your suggestions to newbies???
I should clarify that our friends that went with us to the lake were perfect, I just was asked by another couple friend to go and I know they are RUDE and careless so I was in search of something to show them BEFORE having them load up!

That's one in a millon there!..

People that have boats or have been around them know what it takes to get everything together... It's nice to get that kind of response / support once in awhile....

Sun screen is hard to clean off the boat seats...if you don't clean it off eveutally it drys and turns the seats a gross yellow used looking color...
...that said, we apply the sun screen in the boat and just wash the boat and seats when we're finished with each trip.

Yup... I clean the seats after each trip then I spray some vinyl protectant to block the harmful UV rays.
