Probably true... My dream boat is a 28 deck.. but with the 80k tag.. its not happinen... Â Right now its sorta looking like the Mobius LSV Â pretty nice boats for 35K New |
Cord, You out to look at the Yamaha AR230HO.....a lot of boat for the buck......160x2 4stroke jet power. Â Holds 10-12, nice rear patio, storage, etc., nice ride in heavy chop, top speed 47-50. Â Glassman and Fragile Magic have 230's and swear by 'em.

Hell, while you're at it, why not go for the double whammy?
I got a roll bar and jets! Yeah, I know Art just loves that, but my wife does and that's all that matters.
I had a guy in a new Mobius trying to catch up with me all the way up to Needles from the sandbar Sat. When I finally got to our beach, he pulled in to check out the boat. Said he couldn't believe how well it rode through the gorge with all the chop going on....he stayed right in my wake to keep from getting beat up.
More of a runabout, more freeboard and a ton of room. I typically have about 8 on board most trips and on a ski boat we'd be in each other's laps.

How much buck? for the 23? Have you had any maintenance problems so far? How long have you guys had them?
Basically what I am getting at is: I am SICK of fixing my boat... Thats why I am going to bite the bullet on a NEW one... I dont even really care if I go fast anymore... I just want to make it through a season without a TOW home!!!
Never Trust Anyone That Talks Too Fast.... They are hoping you miss something!

MrCord, That was exactly my reason for getting this boat. My wife told me that if she ever saw me with my head down in the bilge fixin' this or that again, it was over. No mo boatin'.
Mine's an '04 and I've had nuthin' but fun. It has 2, R-1 motorcycle engines that run like champs. Sure, it's a jet, but it has an 18" draft and all those suckers, I mean my buddies, with their Malibus and Air Nautiques couldn't enjoy the "Secret Spot" Saturday afternoon because the narrow inlet had only 2 feet of water. We had the whole area to ourselves!
Believe me when I tell you it was a departure from everything I was used to about boats and boating.
Oh, wait...I had a problem once.....I left the stereo on once for two weeks and had to jump the battery. That really sucked. Took all of three minutes with my little jumper pack.
