So on some emails when you open an email the attached pics open in the email :good  on others you have to download each pic  :(

What causes this or is it some sort of setting I can change in my email to have them open in the email?

Attachments have to opened. :D

I think it has to do with the sender and how they generate the email, as well as the type of email/network software for both users.

The pictures can be attachments or embedded OLE, object linking and embedding (clipboard items) .  Thats one way.  

The other is the actual format of the email.  You can use Rich Tech, Plain Text or HTML.  Depending on which format you start out with will determine how the picture is displayed too.


At least thats what I believe.  Its been a while and I haven't had to validate it.

To put a picture into an email, try to COPY the picture (to your clipboard), then PASTE SPECIAL into your email.

Many of the third-party email services (Yahoo, AOL, HotMail, etc.) don't support email images, since they use standard HTML coding for the delivery of content.

You should use our Outlook software for email creation/viewing, then use Yahoo for delivery.  You also would be better off to use the email from your high-speed provider, if available, and dump the third-party.
