Was movin some stuff around and found our older CD collection. About 100 CD's about half are from our Country Music days, Garth, Clint, Brooks and Dunn, etc. All the Country Pop bands ;) The other half is quite the mix everything from REO to CC Music Factory. Even Vandross and David Sanborn. And since it 100* outside at 9am and windy :(  I'm going to down load them all in to my Itunes library. :good  Takes awhile but I've got plenty of beer :beer

That's just perfect.....I've been trying to get my mind off the fact that my ipod is nowhere to be found. :confused

Had it at the river last weekend, remember taking it out of the truck....gone.

But thatb sounds like an excellent find KC. All great stuff, and Sanborn is a real nice guy, not bad on the sax too. :good

i-Tunes will do that.....custom list, expands mp3 back out to CD..... :good

I've tried mp3 only files.....too many different "formats" out there, they won't play on all compatible mp3 devices.....best to make std CDs... :beat

Silver and I are up to almost 11k songs or 60Gigs, but I had the unfair advantage of working a couple years for Wherehouse when I was younger and spent most of my paycheck on cds.

Anyone have me beat? I know Silver's step brother has over double, maybe tripple but he was a talent scout for a record label for years.

I have MP3's on the computer and I have them on CD's, but I need to change them to a format that will play on theboat and truck players......I tryed playing the MP3's in the boat, but they wouldn't play...... What format do they need to be in to play??

You need to get something like Ahead Nero Burning Rom or Easy Cd Creator ( both cd / dvd burning programs ) and just fish around in the wizards for "audio cd."

That way when you copy over the mp3's to burn to the blank CD, the program will convert them to raw audio cd format before it burns the CD. Then it'll be playable in a regular CD player.

What you did before was, instead of being in the audio CD format, you copied it as a data CD which kept the mp3's in their original form.
