That storm was off the hook last night. Bad ASS! That photo is just one of 100's that I took. I'll post a couple more on HB later this weekend. Heading out to the Grand Canyon today. Have a good one.  :good

yeh that storm was awsum we were at the avi when it rolled in oatman got nailed first by the time we left it was to late the roads back to goldenshores were blocked by flash floods
 we waited an hour at am/pm were the light were knocked out on 95 they told us it would be a few more hours till the roads opened up so we went around via oatman highway.
 that was crazy lightning everywhere.

I know there was a thread here the other day asking if people get a bit jittery before heading to the river.  Only when it's Monsoon season.  Lightning and me just don't get along.   :angry :flamed

believe it or not it a unmodified Olympus c-5050 5 megapixel camera. No special lenses or anything like that. I bought it new back in 2003 and has been a terrific camera all these years. It's just a little challaging sometimes to get all the setting correct for lightning photography but I've been doing it now for around 5 years now and have it down to a science.

yeah I didn't even notice it till I viewed the photos. Those two photos of the lightning you have on here were very quick flashes. I mean faster than a 1/10 of a second.

i did get a little worried when i realized i was sitting next to a gas station with a tanker truck in it and the lightning looked like i was hitting rite across the street. :eek

the monsoon is going to start back up this weekend for a couple of days. Only 20% chance right now but still Havasu does have that chance. I hope we have a good storm since nothing really has happend on top of us yet here.  :good I need to get some more lightning photos.  :D
