NEEDLES, CA - Damage from Friday's storm has left the road between Needles and Vidal Junction closed for repairs. The road is expected to be shut down for 2-6 weeks while repairs are being made.

Southbound travelers headed for Interstate 10 and other parts of California or Arizona along the Colorado River will need to take Highway 62 east, through Lake Havasu, to connect to I-40.
