The lake level is down 1-2 feet.  Could not find a safe route up to the Sandbar/Gorge from the lake..... :beat  ??

Not my POS jet, but the Glastron.  We went from mid-river to the AZ size and it was ankle-waist deep everywhere and no boat traffic to follow.... :eek  Towed up to Topock and launched from there...

Maybe try the extreme Cali side on Friday.... :stupid

yeah I saw that also, the monsoon is out of here till well after the weekend due to SW flow. Which Sucks!!!!  :banghead

When in doubt trim it out and barrel on up the river entrance, just pick the waist deep stuff and not the ankle deep stuff. It freaks me out everytime I go up there but I go with care.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks heading up river is sketchy. I haven't made it to the sandbar in my new boat yet after 3 trips.

First trip out I parked it at the entrance and after 30 minutes of pushing and pulling while everyone else went around me, I finally climbed in boat and waited for someone else to park it.  :stupid

After I helped him, he helped me and I headed back down river where the FNG's belong.  :D

About 100 feet east of the grass island is where I shoot for. But its gotten more shallow leading up to that point so sometimes I have to toss in a dogleg just before the grass island......certainly less deep than last season IMO but still passable, even with the water down a couple feet.

I tried to get the BIL (bro-in-law) to move over there, but he's just paranoid of wackin' his stainless.... :beat  :eek

We went out of Cattail again today/Thursday....JUST A PERFECT DAY... :good  Got there by 7:30a and got our favorite beach....winds died down about 10:30....lake came up a foot or two....got my kid up on a single ski (old-skool), the other two wake-boarded until they all said "NO MAS".... :rotflmao

Back to the house by 2pm for a little siesta and a dip in the...

Went down to the lake early for some fishing off the short pier at Mesquite Bay.... :cool   Shuda brought the boat and went skiing.... :eek  :rolleyes

I'm thinkin' they cut the flow down so they could anchor those bouys in the Gorge....

You should be fine....I ran out of Jack Smith/Needles on Wednesday and it was do-able.....just a tad shallow way up by Willow Valley... :rolleyes

That freakin' rock bar up there only had a single boat passage lane by it.... :eek  :beat

Last time I launched from Needles camp ground marina  there was only one lane on the launch that didn't offer a fun drop off and I pretty much had to walk my boat out.(low water level)
