Booty can play. It was not an easy choice  (according to the coaches) to start Leinart, over him, 2 years ago. SC has been loaded at QB for years now, with the likes of Palmer, Castle, Leinart, Booty, and Sanchez.... Â

Luck???? Â Pffft......whuteva! Â There were both good and bad calls on both teams. Â If it weren't fer them damn turnovers, we'd have run away w/ it! Â You gotta hand it to the Ducks......They played a pretty awesome 4th Qtr! Â |
I'm not discounting their playing......
The luck applies to the QB keeper with 1:12 left and the on-side kick by Bellotti that was called in their favor after a review and then a pass interference call against OK which set up the winning TD with 46 seconds left.......
You gotta admit, the chances of recovering an on-side kick are slim. The call could have gone either way...it was lucky for the Ducks it didn't.
And lucky that more time wasn't left on the clock.....it was a battle to the finish.
I understand that both the calls are being reviewed by the league. I don't know what they can do about it now.

Dropped calls are like dropped balls. They are part of the game. My grandmother put herself through The University of Oklahoma back in the late 20's and early 30's. She loved that school, therefore I tend to root for the Sooners, in her memory. However, I have to admit I kind of liked those calls, because they added some fun to the finish. Over the years I have grown to like college ball a lot more than the NFL, mostly because the teams stay put and they sort of represent something. Even though the NCAA totally sucks as an organization and it still clings to a bizzarre amature code, that was origionally created for the expressed purpose of keeping poor and working class people out of sports. I still can't help love the spirit and excitement that is unique to the college game....Bad calls? Perhaps, but I love it!!
