Fence Coming To Border

WASHINGTON, DC - An agreement was reached by both House and Senate negotiators in the nation’s capitol last night and now it’s expected a new fence will be constructed all along the Mexican border costing $1.2-billion.

Hundreds of miles of fence and vehicle barriers will go up as part of a $34.8-billion spending plan for the Department of Homeland Security. Final action on the measure, which is part of the annual appropriations bill will take place sometime this week.

The total amount for border security and immigration enforcement should be about $21.3-billion.

The funding goes for other items such as the hiring of 1,500 new Border Patrol agents, and more than 6,700 new detention beds.

Last week, Boeing won an initial $68-million contract for what is being called “a virtual fence” to equip the Mexican border with 1,800 towers using sensors that can spot illegal immigrants immediately when they come into the U.S. Infrared cameras will detect their body heat and radar can track vehicles used to smuggle immigrants and drugs into the United States.

Great..... :rolleyes   The extra border patrol might help.... :beat  :good

If the Gov't would just let the Border Patrol, Police, and Ranchers :D do there jobs, I think that most of it would take care of it's self.........A fence may help a little.....

It'd sure help if they did it virtually overnight like the East Germans did. :D
Joking aside....I think its a good idea, they might have to consider building an underground fence too since tunnels are relatively common.

What if we hire the illegals to build the wall then tell them their checks are just thru this door, going to the other side of the border. Then slam it behind them :laugh

I saw the strangest thing yesterday. A mexican paddles his inflatable boat from Mexico across the Colorado just above Morales Dam. He picks 5 people on the U.S. side and paddles them back to Mexico. First time I ever saw em smuggling back into Mexico.

The sad fact is: They get free medical care at Yuma Regional. Maybe they went back for Pacifico...... I have not seen it in the local stores lately.

That's how they got the Dems in the Senate to sign on, 700 miles for our border Mexico. Feinstein wrote it and she and the other Senate Dems figure the rest of that  2,000 miles is in Azlan..... :rolleyes  ;)
