I think they have the world's largest ball of barb wire there or something....Bakersfield at least has a huge Borax mine.....and of course Buck Owens!

We can always tell when we are getting close to the ground in either of those places......Let's call it the "Essence of Kern County" coming through the Environmental system!..... :rotflmao

You'll love the new airport terminal....really "out in the sticks".... :laugh

They will prolly put you up near California Ave & 99, kinda their Hotel Row.  Buck Owen's Crystal Palace is right there, just a few blocks up.  Great food and live Country Music, if that's your thing.  :cool

Not much else.....go to Diana's for breakfast....best Country Fried Steak & Biscuits/Gravy around... :good
