We get this garbage everyday, they have no idea who you are they just have names and addressses, they figure there's always somebody that will sign up!..

I've been trying to convince my wife that credit cards are evil for the last 15 years!!
The only thing I have on a credit card right now is my kid's bike on a Yamaha card and that's one of those "no payments for a year" deals. Meanwhile the cash is sitting in the bank earning a tiny bit of interest.
It's a fact of Life:
After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

I have friends who's marraiges fell victim to credit cards...
one divorce the other majorly strained and unhealthy. Â Had to sell everything they owned so they could keep the roof over their 3 kids' heads.........
saddens me tremendously. I'm Godfather to two of the three, and the adopted Godfather to the 3rd.

Her mother told her to use it and pay it off monthly to build some credit. I guess that she forgot to stop using it??  Who knows, but now she has to pay it back to it's limit every month. Silly me, I didn't think that it could be used if it was over the limit.

They are one of those things that are evil, but you almost have to have one these days. Have you ever tried to rent a car with cash?? |
Oh, I hear you... we both have one in every flavor.
But I only use them to make the reservation, etc. and pay cash when I return the car or check out of the hotel room.
I also use Discover whenever possible when I make a significant purchase over the internet. They have been much better than Visa or M/C if there is any problem with the deal.
My wife, on the other hand, will use a card just about anywhere....but she is very good at paying them off timely, I'll give her credit for that!

I'm in that club....
She is always signing up when shopping to get the "extra discount".....
I get the bill, pay it off, and cut-up the cards.....make great guitar picks....

Very true, the card companies can't be blamed for the spending people do with them but you can blame them for making it too easy to obtain the cards......or issuing them to children without incomes.
