Jet or outboard. My two cents is, that an outboard is!

factor in the inside room? also the top for like oh mile to two. the weight gas but all that aside, just start to finish.

It depends on which vehicle I'm towing it with and if I'm going downhill.

Cool factor trumps um all in IMHO  and besides I've never even had an outboard come close to beating me on the river  as long as it was attached to a pontoon boat Seriously though they both have their pros and cons. I just enjoy the whole nostalgic jetboat thing when it comes to the river. |
the pontoon has a BBQ

Way to many factors to judge a decision on one way or the other. It depends on:
Weight Length Type of hull How many horsepower Cargo weight Elevation of lake Weather Swells or wind chop Etc..........................................

here's the race, I had two 20' silhouette boats. One was a jet with 1100hp and then the twin with two mercury 260hp (some aftermarket parts). Mine twin beat the jet all day long. That is why I sold the jet less motor Now The jet would beat a single outboard. So now I'm building a jet again but not for race, but for all around fun(wakeboarding)would build a single outboard, but I have all the jet parts.

Speed is relative to conditions.....it's like taking a Ferrari and running the 405 on a Friday night...
If it starts every time and runs all day, I'm good....
