I was just telling Jeff this morning that Rummy needed to go.  Was Johnson's Defense Secretary disliked as much as Rumsfeld was?  Between the lack of armor on the humvees, the prisoner treatment scandal and the lack of any kind of order after 3 years over in Iraq, his time was up.  

I feel his actions played a direct role in the election loss for the Republicans last night.

Things and attitudes were very different in those days. People in gerneral were so much more respectful and followed orders. Patriotism had a different feel than it does today.
Can't compare today to yesteryear.
But, Rumsy leaving is still a good thing IMO...........
