Not sure about the last one... I was going to say Eurofighter, but it doesn't have the intake under the fuselage... Â
But it's a Saab of some sort... |
oooooooooh, you're good. Thought maybe the Drakken would get ya. Last one is their Grippen. . Bet lots of people didn't know Saab built such great fighters . American Airline used to fly the Saab 340's out of Carlsbad. |
Mesaba still flies 340's under Northwest Airlink colors... for now anyway, until the airline shuts down...
The Viggen was Burt Rutan's insparation for building Canard airplanes... the rest is history.

I'd think Sweden's Airforce is in pretty good hands. . Got to see a Grippen do its thing at Thermal when Saab had a special engagement dealio for us dealers. Its a rush to watch and hear them.

I love that canopy concept!
No A pillars so you get an unobstructed 180 degree view.
From their propaganda :
The Aero X is a "green machine". No, it's not a hybrid/electric car that runs on sunshine and rainbows -- sunshine and rainbows aren't fitting on a car that looks like a fighter jet. The Aero X runs on 100 percent ethanol fuel --you know, the stuff made from corn. But don't think that this is a sissy-fied eco-friendly car; the Aero X sports twin turbo 2.8 liter V6 that makes 400 horsepower at the flywheel. Though it hasn't been officially tested, Saab is claiming that the Aero X can go from zero to sixty in 4.9 seconds. Oh yeah, the Aero X has an estimated top speed of 155 miles per hour. Not bad for a "green car", eh?
It's a fact of Life:
After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

The Aero-X is strictly a concept car that won rave reviews and accolades at Europes biggest car show. Photographers crowded the car continuesly. If you look at the newer models now being sold many design ques from the Aero-X have been incorporated into those cars. Easy to say Saab has come a long ways from the old ugly duckling days.
